The Vibrational Energies of Color

Color is defined as light moving at various speeds. The brain converts that information through our eyes into what we see as color. Today we know that there is a direct connection between light, sound and color and that the natural frequencies produced by light and sound correspond to the chakra system, various organs, endocrine glands and even our mental or emotional states. Because the vibrational frequencies of light and sound are related to the organs and cells, it can be understood that color vibrations perceived by the eye or sound vibrations received by the body will also have a profound effect on the chakra system and ultimately on organs and cells.

Each color provokes a different sensation in humans. Some are perceived as cold, others as warm. The colors which oppose each other in the circle are called complementary colors. The history of the use of color goes back over 5,000 years. Various color therapies were used by many cultures, including the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Native Americans, and Tibetans.

Light consists of the seven color energies: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. RED

Red is the color of fire. It is the color of the burning, radiant sun, and of life itself. Love and anger, joy and wrath are associated with this color. Red is the color with the greatest power of penetration and it will strongly stimulate the flow of blood. For this reason it is indicated for cases of poor circulation, libido and insufficient blood supply. Red is the color of the heart, the lungs, kidneys, bladder and the muscles. It is the right color for the treatment of wounds and inflammations, as well as skin diseases, chronic illness; coughs, asthma, laryngeal complaints, anemia, insulin balance, scar tissue, weeping eczema and psoriasis. It loosens the tongue, has a cheering and exciting effect, is stimulating and arouses passion. Red stimulates and increases energy making exhausted people more active. Phlegmatic children may be helped by having them do their homework under red light. Red regenerates and charges our cells and DNA.

ORANGE

Orange is a mixture of red and yellow and is the color of joy and happiness. ORANGE is wonderful to bring in that feeling of bliss, promotes an uplifting feeling, and is great for depression. When you need to touch that child with-in again; laugh, play; be in touch with your inner knowing (that gut feeling and follow it). Feel that bliss for life; let go of the anger; release all that holds you back, embrace and use ORANGE. Bliss, Enthusiasm and Deep Insight represent the orange vibration.

Orange is indicated in cases of discontentment, pessimism, psychosis, depression and fear. Orange should be alternated with blue when treating people suffering from fear, however. All sclerotic processes, such as arteriosclerosis and cerebral and coronary sclerosis respond well to the color orange. It promotes the appetite and can be used in the treatment of emaciation and anemia. It is recommended for heart disease in general and cardiac insufficiency in particular. In treating the effects of a heart attack or angina pectoris, however, orange should be alternated with blue, as in the case of fear (see above). Short exposure to orange light in the morning will prove to be of help to people who are chronically tired at this time of day. Orange will increase a sense of ambition and promote warm-heartedness. It has a brightening and cheering effect and will lend strength and joy to people who feel disinclined to work.

ORANGE is good for depression, cramping anywhere in body, relaxant, sclerosis, heart disease, boosts immune system, circulation, raises blood pressure, artery disturbance (especially in legs), genitals, fear (alternate with blue), endocrine balancer (when used with blue), cleans and purifies hormonal system. ORANGE warms the sacral (2^nd) chakra of creativity.

In relation to the physical body, YELLOW is good for combating fear (obsessive, habitual), digestion, stomach, gall bladder, liver, immune system, fortifies endocrine and nervous systems, stimulates metabolism, is a nerve tonifier, and a motor stimulant. Because yellow acts as a mental stimulant; for many people it helps with focus. When you want to let go and move forward grab YELLOW and watch out, here comes the release; take your power let go of all that is not working for you. Let the sunshine back in and eliminate all that does not work for you. Clarity, Sunshine, and Personal Power represent YELLOW.

Yellow symbolizes the sun standing at its zenith, and is one of the hot colors. It promotes digestion, strengthens the nerves, stimulates the stomach and has a brightening and cheering effect in general. It fortifies the endocrine system, makes chronic processes acute and is indicated for diseases of the liver, bladder, kidneys and the stomach. Turquoise is the color of Atlantis in terms of the ancient wisdom, technology and the art of that time, and as such stands for the sea (the unconscious). This color is also indicated for complaints involving pain, plethora and congestion. Blue has an excellent effect on hemorrhoids. INDIGO helps build a positive outlook and bring inner strength. Indigo facilitates the communication of one's deepest feelings as well as involved abstract concepts.
